How We Calculated This

Fence panels in the UK are a standard 6ft (1.83m) wide. Simply divide your total run length:

• Fence run: 10m
• Panels: 10 ÷ 1.83 = 5.46, round up = 6 panels
• The last panel may need cutting to fit

Tips

Always check the maximum allowed fence height with your local planning authority. Generally, rear boundary fences can be up to 2m without planning permission, and front fences up to 1m. If you share a boundary, discuss the fence with your neighbour before installation.
