How We Calculate This

This calculator determines conduit bend dimensions, marking positions, and total conduit length for common bend types used in electrical installation.

Bend Types

  • 90° bend: Gain = bend radius. Total = leg A + leg B - gain
  • 45° bend: Used for gentle direction changes
  • Offset: Travel = offset ÷ sin(angle). Two bends.
  • Saddle: Three bends to clear an obstacle
  • Kick-back: Small set to bring conduit off a surface

Minimum Bend Radii

  • 16mm conduit: 50mm radius
  • 20mm conduit: 75mm radius
  • 25mm conduit: 100mm radius
  • 32mm conduit: 125mm radius
