What is the Temporary Works Coordinator role?

What is the safe working load of an Acrow prop?

Standard Acrow props (size 1-4) have safe working loads of 17-34 kN depending on extension. A Size 1 (1.07-1.83m) at minimum extension is approximately 34 kN. At full extension, capacity drops to about 17 kN. Always check the specific prop rating and apply a safety factor.

How is concrete formwork pressure calculated?

Maximum lateral pressure on formwork = concrete density (25 kN/m3) x head of concrete (vertical height). For walls, the full head applies when pouring fast. Slow pours allow concrete to set, reducing peak pressure. Temperature also affects setting time.

When does temporary works need formal design?

What inspection regime is required?
